How I Practice
Leadership, like craft, is about shaping something with care over time.
It requires judgment in the midst of complexity, attention to what matters, and the ability to work with others toward something larger than yourself.
That is the work I do with organizations every day: helping leaders create clarity, strengthen trust, and move forward together when the path ahead is not obvious.
I work with boards, leadership teams, and mission-driven organizations navigating transition, uncertainty, growth, and change. My role is not to impose answers, but to help people slow down, see clearly, and make thoughtful decisions together.
Because the quality of leadership is often reflected in the quality of attention.
Why I Founded Corporate Craft
Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside executives, boards, and leadership teams to strengthen how they lead, communicate, and navigate complexity together.
Over time, I became increasingly interested not only in organizational outcomes, but in the deeper conditions that make good work possible: trust, clarity, alignment, and shared responsibility.
Corporate Craft grew out of that experience.
Craft isn’t about perfection. It’s about judgment, care, and taking responsibility for the things we shape. The best organizations understand that meaningful progress is built slowly—through attention, discipline, and relationships strong enough to sustain difficult work over time.
My Work Beyond Consulting
My work outside consulting continues to shape how I think about leadership, stewardship, and shared responsibility.
I founded the George Masa Foundation to help young people connect with conservation through creative practice. I serve as Councilor for Communications with the Carolina Mountain Club and as a trustee of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation—roles grounded in long-term stewardship of public landscapes and communities.
Across these experiences, I’ve seen the same principle again and again: meaningful work is sustained by trust, attention, and people willing to participate.
A Bit More About Me
My work lives at the intersection of leadership, stewardship, communication, and place.
I am the founder of Corporate Craft and the George Masa Foundation, serve as Councilor for Communications with the Carolina Mountain Club, and am a trustee of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
I live in Asheville, North Carolina, where the mountains continue to shape how I think about attention, responsibility, and the long work of caring for what matters.
